I did a lot of editing.

It took a little while (: but it was fun.

I mostly used Paint Tool Sai for armor, hair, highlights and details, than did touch ups and of course, edited the models and background in Photoshop CS3.

You've done a great job with the editing. Seeing the before and after really makes it pop.

They look nice, i love the redesign on the armour however the fact the initial picture is such low quality it really drags your work down.

Check out this tutorial [link] by :icondesertdarky: for a simple fix on raising the modelviewer quality.

I really think you should make that change to bring all your modelviewer work up a notch.

I've tried it before when she came out with the tutorial, however my graphics card doesn't agree with the change. Modelveiwer crashes every time when I have the resolution set too high.

That, and when I tried to save the picture from modelveiwer, it didn't help when I extracted the model from the background... it still turned out pretty pixely around the edges. So I just make due.

Oh also to note, Something I have been doing ever since i started hair edits - DRAW YOUR OWN EYEBROWS!
It's really not hard with the elf types and you're so good at doing long elegant strands of hair i don't think eyebrows should be the slightest problem for you, get on the job sort it out.

You could also think about extending the ears and smoothing the edges of that with your own hand.

Well, ye'.~ I completely retrace the entire character to get rid of the pixels - you can safely assume the majority of the model is completely redrawn. The bit of pixel that you do see is from Paint Tool sai - the brushes are very very sharp - but I prefer it over the original.

.. as for eyebrows... I usually mess them up somehow. ._. I'll work onnit though.

I do not discriminate against your edited pixelation, it often happens to me too on photoshop when i use my tablet, it simply doesn't produce fine lines and etail out in a smooth way, All I am mainly commenting on is the part of the original model which show through, as said the eyebrows for one and other small details, the generic edge can be smoothed out if you take an eraser around the edge and just clip them off, you don't have to overblur everything, then you are losing a bit too much detail.

Coo'. (: I didn't think you were, I do really appreciate the little tips you give every now and then. I'll start paying a little more attention to some other details - but gotta admit... sooo much better than my first few edits I did a long time ago. :dummy:
